Underground Service Alert (previously USA North 811) has partnered with the Oakland A's for the past few years to spread the 811 safety message, and they've allowed me the opportunity to work with them.

Part of the project included designing outfield ads. Underground Service Alert secured the outfield ad spots under the foul poles with the idea of using a guerrilla marketing type design that incorporated the foul pole as the handle of a shovel. We then designed the pad to look as though the shovel head was going into the dirt on the warning track of the field. It was a super fun project and required the efforts of the Oakland A's staff, the printer/installers, Underground Service Alert, and myself to design around and navigate all the rules and regulations the MLB has around what can/can't be in the outfield and the markings required around the foul pole that had to incorporate.

We also made companion ads that were printed in the Oakland A's annual yearbooks purchased at the game that matched the design on the field.
